Privacy Policy

  1. The QC General Privacy Policy
    1. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously, and comply strictly with the rules of data protection law, in particular the German Federal Data Protection Act (hereinafter "BDSG") and the German Telemedia Act (hereinafter "TMG").
    2. Our service will only collect personal data to the extent to which this is technically required or if you have given your expressed consent.
    3. Under no circumstances will the collected data be sold or forwarded to third parties for other economic reasons.
    4. It is important to us that you can at all times trust in QC complying with data privacy, and that you know which of your personal data we will collect during your visit to our internet sites, and how we process, use and transmit these data. The following explanations serve to provide you with information in this respect. Furthermore, we would like to make you familiar with the security measures which we have taken in order to protect your personal data from manipulation, loss, destruction and improper use.
  2. Collection, processing and use of personal data
    1. You can visit our website without disclosing personal information. We only store access data, without references to persons, such as the name of your internet service provider. These anonymous data will exclusively be analysed in order to improve the portal, and does not allow any conclusions as to your identity. When storing visitor data, the visitor's IP addresses will in particular also be stored in an abbreviated form only, so that conclusions relating to individual visitors will not be possible. We undertake to never merge any collected IP addresses with other data, for instance in order to create references to persons. 
    2. Personal data such as name, username and additional metadata as address, phone number, e-mail-address and bank account details (inventory data) will only be collected if this is necessary for the establishment, performance or modification of a contractual relationship. This data will be collected by means of electronic order forms. After the handling of the order has been completed and we have received your full payment your personal data will be blocked for other usage and will be erased at the end of regulations according to tax law and commercial law, provided that you have not agreed expressly to the further use of your data.
    3. QC's services include a newsletter which you will receive regularly by e-mail if you have given your consent and have voluntarily entered your name and e-mail address. You can deregister from your subscription to the newsletter at any time, via a link provided in each newsletter, or through an e-mail to [email protected]. When forwarding of the newsletter ends, your data will be blocked for further use and will be deleted, except if you have given your expressed consent for the further use of your data, or if statutory provisions require otherwise.
    4. Whenever you contact us, for instance by e-mail, we will collect, process and use the data disclosed by you voluntarily in as far as this is necessary in order to be able to reply to your contact inquiry.
  3. Forwarding data to third parties
    1. Your personal data will only be forwarded to third parties if this is necessary in order for us to be able to make our service available, or if you have given your expressed consent.  In order to process payments, your payment data will be transmitted in an encrypted form to the service provider assigned with processing the payment. During this process, we will not obtain knowledge of your payment data.
    2. 3.2 Any other disclosure of your data will only be made within the framework of the statutory information obligations, or upon a judicial decision. In the event of an order issued by a competent body, we may, in individual cases, disclose such data, provided that this is necessary for purposes of criminal prosecution, danger prevention activities by the state police authorities, in order to fulfil the statutory tasks of the federal and state offices for the protection of the constitution (Verfassungsschutzbehörden), the German federal intelligence service (Bundesnachrichtendienst), the military counterintelligence agency (Militärischer Abschirmdienst) or the federal criminal office (Bundeskriminalamt) within the framework of its task of preventing the dangers associated with international terrorism or in order to enforce intellectual property rights.
  4. Order data processing
    1. In as far as we work with cooperation partners when providing the service and this is required under applicable law, we have entered into corresponding contracts on order data processing.
  5. Information on the use
    1. In order to enable and continuously improve the service, information on the visitors' activities is collected. This relates in particular to the browser, access date, cookie ID, referrer URL and the pages viewed on the service website. Here, pseudonym user profiles are created which are analysed exclusively in order to improve the service and do not allow conclusions as to your identity.
    2. We reserve the right to create links and to trace whether these links were used. This approach serves to assure quality and to improve our offers.
    3. In order to improve our services, we use so-called Quality Assurance Feedbacks in individual cases, which record the users' conduct in certain situations. In these cases, you will be asked separately to consent to the sending of a Quality Assurance Feedback Protocol.
  6. Use of cookies
    1. We use cookies on various pages in order to make the use of our service attractive and to allow the use of certain functions. Cookies are small text files with an identification number which are stored locally on your computer hard disk and are kept ready for subsequent retrieval.
    2. Most of the cookies we use will be deleted from your hard disc at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). Only so-called log-in cookies or data from local storage service may remain on your computer with your expressed prior consent, and allow you to record data relating to your session, such as your log-in status or the progress in the creation of your account.
    3. You can adjust your browser settings to reject and/or display all cookies. If you use this setting, a flawless functioning of the service cannot be ensured.
  7. Log information
    1. We store the information sent by your browser when you visit the service, i.e. request, browser type and browser language as well as the date and time of the request.
  8. Storing of personal data
    1. Your personal data will as a matter of course only be stored as long as this is required in order for us to be able to provide our services and/or as long as such storage is legally permitted. The stored personal data will be deleted when you revoke your consent to the storage, when knowledge of the data is no longer required in order to reach the objectives pursued with the storage, or if their storage is unlawful for other statutory reasons. In order to prevent improper use of the free 14-day trial option, your user ID will be stored in a hashed form, and will be kept even after deletion of the account in order to be able to match subsequent registrations.
  9. Data safety
    1. Personal data exchanged between you and us via our internet sites are always transmitted via encrypted connections which correspond to state-of-the-art technology. Here, we use the coding system SSL (Secure Socket Layer). Furthermore, we take technical and organisational safety measures to protect your personal data managed by us from incidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. Our data processing and our safety measures are being improved continuously in line with the technological development. As a matter of course, our staff are bound to maintain data secrecy in accordance with sec. 5 BDSG. We will not store your credit card data, but will only transfer them in an encoded form directly to the corresponding payment service providers.
  10. Provision of information
    1. We will at all times be pleased to provide you free of charge and promptly with information on the personal data stored on you. Should you wish us to correct, block or delete your data, or if you have questions or suggestions relating to data privacy, please do not hesitate to contact us.
  11. Web analysis and other third party services
    1. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files which are stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of the website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA. This website uses an anonymisation feature for the IP address, so that Google only stores and processes the IP address in an abbreviated form. Google will use this information in order to analyse your usage of the website, to compile reports on website activities for the website operators, and to provide further services relating to the usage of the website and the internet. Google may also transmit this information to third parties if this is mandatory under applicable law, or if third parties process such data on behalf of Google. Google will in no event link your IP address to other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we must inform you that, in this case, you may possibly not be able to fully use all features on this website.     2. This website uses Google+, which is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”). Visiting our website involves a link to the Google server, which creates and integrates a connection to the browser of the website visitor and the website displayed. The plugin transmits the visit of our website to Google. We have no influence on the scope, content or transmission of the data and IP address of the user which Google obtains through the connection.
